WHITE WINE
Montesión Sauvignon Blanc Barrique
While Sauvignon Blanc is not as commonly associated with Mallorca as it is with regions like New Zealand or the Loire Valley in France, some winemakers on the island do produce Sauvignon Blanc wines. Mallorca’s warm Mediterranean climate and diverse terroir offer winemakers unique opportunities to craft distinctive expressions of this varietal. The island’s maritime influence, with cooling breezes from the sea, can help preserve acidity in the grapes, contributing to the wine’s freshness and balance.
CATA'S NOTE
Clean and bright. Greenish yellow in color. Ripe nose with notes of white flowers, pear, apricot, elderberry and a light note of smoke. In the mouth it is fatty, sweet, unctuous, but with a very good length and freshness. Mineral and slightly bitter that enhances the tension and persistence of the wine.
